Dubai is strong and global capital is betting on Dubai’s future.
In March 2026, Dubai was ranked the world’s No.1 financial centre expected to become more significant over the next 2–3 years in the Global Financial Centers Index.
That is probably the most important part of the ranking.
Not because of visibility. But because future confidence is much harder to earn than current performance.
From an auditor’s perspective, this kind of confidence is not built on headlines alone. It reflects something deeper: trust in regulation, governance, institutional consistency and the ability of a financial ecosystem to operate under scrutiny. And the numbers behind Dubai increasingly support that direction.
Dubai has now reached its highest-ever position in the index at 7th globally, becoming the only financial centre across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia classified as both a global leader and globally competitive.
At the same time, DIFC continues to see strong structural growth:
– Active companies increased by 28%, reaching 8,844 firms
– New registrations grew by 39% year-on-year
– Wealth and asset management firms reached 557
– Hedge fund presence has more than doubled, with more than 100 hedge funds now operating from DIFC
At KISA Chartered Accountants, we see this evolution up close every day and it is exciting to be part of a financial ecosystem that continues to strengthen its global position through structure, governance and long-term trust.
This is not just business expansion. It is institutions, family wealth and long-term capital increasingly choosing Dubai as a place where frameworks can be built, governed and sustained with clarity.
Financial centres do not become more significant simply because capital arrives. They become more significant when global capital starts trusting the system behind them.
And we do this together.
